Exciting packages in the mail + extra goodies :)

I won Benefit's Sunday Funday and Scene Queen makeup kits from a contest held by Janine from beautygeeks and Megan PR for Benefit earlier this month! I was super duper excited because I was looking forward to try out Coralista, Hoolah, High Beam, and Benetint :) I still need to try out their Bright Eyes eye brightening stick! Upcoming post about these two beauty kits soon :)

I received this through a beauty forum I'm part of and unfortunately they now charge shipping for the gifts ($16 USD) with no choice of what you will receive (it's a complete surprise but usually they are super awesome gifts!). I opened the package and my jaw dropped when I saw Revitalash! I've always wanted to try out a lash growth serum, I've only tried the L'oreal Lash Boosting Serum which does a great job of conditioning my lashes but does not lengthen. Revitalsh 4.1 mL (which lasts 6 months) runs at about $150 USD on their main website but I'm sure you can find them for cheaper online/in other countries. I debated for a few days if I wanted to try it out because of the negative side effects and so on. But after reading a kazillion reviews, I settled on trying it out for a couple of days and if anything goes wrong I'd definitely stop using it. I've been using it for about a week now, there are no issues yet, and my lashes are LOVING me! They haven't lengthened yet, it's suppose to take at least 6 weeks but it seems as though my lashes are much more healthier and perkier? Haha. I'll do a full review of this after I've used it for longer :) She also sent me a UD lipgloss, which had a pretty Twilight-esque lid :D

Last but not least, I picked up a few more books yesterday during my break (it's horrible to work at a mall btw) in preparation for my long commute on the bus when I move out to start my new program in Toronto. I'm currently reading The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell which is a story on Carrie Bradshaw before Sex and the City. I love the original cardboard finish behind the book jackets, I always take a peak at them. And to my surprise, this book had a pretty embossed CB all around the book, like a designer diary :P Love it!

I also went to a Lindt chocolate outlet factory that just opened in Cambridge and it was like HEAVEN! Discounted chocolate galore :) The chocolates expire in 2 months but what girl can't finish a box of chocolates within 2 months? :P MMmmm :)

I didn't know Candace Bushnell came out with a book on Carrie! How does it compare to the series? I found Sex and the City book a little bit more somber and sarcastic compared to the series LOL

Congrats on the giveaway!!

Books are good, I try to start reading again, but when school starts, everything is harder, haha ^0^, I know, it is just excuces.

The P&J lipsticks are kind og weird to use, I use a lipbrush with it, because I don't want to desroy the kitty, but it is eventually going to be gone, the the lipstick is not the most pigmented, so I have to apply a couple of layers.
The R&R blushes are great buys, if there is a discount, I am really getting all the colors. They're going to be discountinued?? No WAY!! They are the best blushes! I hope they are not, haha^0^.
Yeah, eco brushes are great, I am happy I found them finally!

Wow, congratulations on all makeup goodies you got as prizes and from PR :) The eyeshadow shades in the palette look totally up my alley LOL
I was eying that L'oreal Lash Serum for a while - thanks for letting us know that it didn't do too much for length for you. I have heard of Revitalash and yeah, it is pricey so you're so lucky to get it! I look forward to your review Jenny.

I know, it is terrible working at the mall. I've been there LOL. I like your choice of novels - I think reading would be a great way to pass time during a commute. But for me, I get very motion sick if I try to read anything in a moving vehicle for more than a couple of minutes...even text messaging. I cannot send many text messages on a bus or as a passenger in a car.
My parents go to a Lindt factory outlet :) I just steal chocolate from them when I go visit LOL

sorry, I meant it's terrible for your wallet (spending $) if you're working at the mall....I realize my comment might not have come out correctly. There's nothing wrong with working at a mall :)

about my hair :) to be honest, i don't really do anything to it xD i shower with any shampoo and it will do this after air dry. i don't comb it. i put it in ponytails/buns a lot. hmm xD roll in mud too?

my hair is naturally slightly wavy but it's not the pretty perfectly romantic soft curl. it's the wild wave that doesn't behave o_O one day it will be kind of straight, the next so poofy and wavy grr. is your hair naturally straight?

{*oOoOooo} You're going to enjoy all of those Benefit products. Benefit was the first makeup brand that I was ever into. The first "high end" make up products I bought that weren't drugstore brand. {*hehe} Hope that makes sense.

That's so cool that you get packages from a beauty forum. Did you do a swap or did some random girl just give you a love package? Those items are really nice. {*dang} Let us know how RevitaLash works. The side effects are kinda sketch but... if it works I wouldn't mind.

BOOKS!!! I need to get back into reading. I was doing so well earlier this year and then I started working. I haven't touched my book since. SOOOO bad! I tell myself I'll read at work during my breaks but it never happens. I just don't want to sit at my desk. Any book recommendation? I feel like I need one waiting so I'll get a move on on the current book I'm reading. =P

{*DROOLAGE} at the chocolate. That sounds sooo good right now.
