A little bit of this, a little bit of that.

I originally had wanted to go into more detail about some of the items I'm blogging about today but I like keeping things sweet and short. I hope you feel the same way :)

First off though, something I was supposed to blog a LONG time ago was a lovely giveaway I won from MISSMICCHAN! She gave me all these lovely masks to try, extra goodies, and a very sweet card (your secret is safe with me! haha). Thanks OODLES my dear! Please go visit her, she's a sweetiepie :)

Next is the Urban Decay Naked Palette I bought a while ago during my post-midterm shopping spree. I absolutely just love looking at this palette! The possibilities are endless. I do wish they had more matte colours because a lot of the shades are pretty glittery and shimmery. But I'm slowly getting more comfortable with shimmery shadows because I think they add more depth and dimension. If you're an eyeshadow person it's definitely a must-buy!

I was watching one of Bubzbeauty's youtube videos and she mentioned this amazing exfoliant that doesn't use microbeads and instead it's this gel that you apply on your face and then when you rub it, clumps/balls of dead skin is removed (see a full review and pictures at this blog). It's apparently a bestseller in Japan! I wanted to get my hands on a bottle but realized it's quite expensive especially when I have no idea if it works on my skin. I ran across BeautyCarousel site where you can get free samples of this product, you only have to pay shipping. It DOES work on my skin but I can't figure out if it's a scam or not. I feel like it's gel that dries up and rolls up into balls of GEL not dead SKIN cells. But that's only my theory :P I'll put this product at the end of my "want" list for now :P

I also bought some fleece leggings/tights on eBay! This intrigued me when I heard about it because it looks like normal leggings except the inside is lined with fleece! I thought that was pretty clever and I don't understand why Canada doesn't have this more widely available! I've only seen them at American Apparel. These are perfect for me, especially since I have a long commute, they are really warm! They can also be layered with another pair of leggings, double up for double the warmth! :)

So what have I been up to for my last days of freedom? Reading and felt crafts! The apple is actually a cellphone cover and the cloud was my failed one because I made it too small haha. The bread keychain I made for my boyfriend haha. And on the latest book from Lauren Conrad L.A Candy series :) To those of you who needs a girly super easy read that requires absolutely no thinking - try her books! :)

Heading back tomorrow back to the big city for school, I have a feeling it's going to be a busy term! I have 7 courses and on top of that applying for internships and interviews. SIGH. Anyways the weekend isn't over yet so I'm not going to sulk just yet! Hope you all have an amazing weekend ^^! xoxo

I just ordered the Naked palette I'm so excited TI test it out :) same with The LA Candy Books! I need time to start reading them but I heard that they're both pretty good? I think that's weird because I never saw Lauren Conrad as a writer ;P & girl you are good at sewing! Theyre so cute >____< you should sell stuff you make on Etsy!

Congratz on winning the giveaway! I'm having two giveaways on my blog at the moment if you want to check it out =)

The Naked palette is sold out everywhere =.= But I don't know if I should get it because I'm not really an eyeshadow person.

I heard about that Cure exfoliant too! That's the theory I was thinking about as well. I'm still skeptical about it. And it's hard to get in Canada.

Those leg warmers sounds good! Whenever I go out, my legs feel frozen!!

Awesome win!! I still haven't picked up the Naked palette yet. I'm not used to using shimmery eyeshadows either, but I think most of UD shadows are pretty shimmery. I like their shadows though and this palette seems like the bomb! lol I didn't know Beauty Carousel had samples of Cure!! I've been wanting to try them out because of Bubz too. LOL I think I read on some reviews that they tried putting the gel on like objects and it didn't ball up so I guess that means it only does that on your face because of your dead skin? The felt items you made are super cute! Especially the Toast/Bread one you made for your bf. =D Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I absolutely love the naked palette! :D also, I bought the cure exfoliant thing because of bubz as well! I don't think it's a scam since I tend to have flaky dry skin at some parts so I use it on top and it's gone. :)

Fleece leggings is a genius idea!!! I definitely need one of those haha I'm one of those ppl who are insanely scared of being cold :S That's why I rarely wear jeans during the winter!

Your crafty creations are the cutest things! My little sister is also into crafts and she makes all sorts of things all the time heehee

You're so talented! I could just eat up that apple xD

7 courses! Whoa, and I used to complain about doing 5.

I used to use a Korean exfoliant like that Japanese one, but I've stopped. Because of the same reason you mentioned! I read somewhere that the little clumps aren't actually your skin cells, but whatever they put in it to form the clumps.

ooh ive always wanted to try the face shop masks sorry i called them beauty diary in my deleted commentlol (they look like them tho)

Hm, if you want a slightly cheaper alternative you could always try the Laneige Multiberry Peeling Gel, it sounds like it does the same thing. I haven't tried the Multiberry though only the Strawberry one so far since it's a new version =)
I feel like it does work because when you use it a second time right after the first, I don't see much of the 'balling' up.

Haha, I forgot to reply back in my other comments! Yeah, my blog disappeared for a bit because I was changing up the look. So I'm still here to bug you bwhaha! I don't have a twitter actually only fb =]

Aww Jenny your new creations are so adorable! Heheh I especially like the toast guy :D

Hmm the mask thing that rolls off dead skin sounds a lot like the Strawberry Yogurt Peel hey? It also clumps up but I'm not sure if it's just the formula reacting to water or it's actually dead skin cells lol

Your felt crafts are so adorable. So creative!!

wow you managed to get your hands on the naked palette!!! I know lots of my friends have been on the hunt fot it and it's been sold our every time they go! Actually what Im personally waiting for is the hello kitty and serphora launch OMG!!! why must it launch when Im out of town? I've sent my sister on this mission for me hahahaha

Congrats on winning that giveaway! All those masks and makeup look amazing! Im eyeing that oil sheet? it looks nice and let us all know how the faceshop mask works out! Im currently only using My beauty diary's because it works for me and it's cheap =P

Oh I've heard about fleece leggings before but Im too scared to try them because of....static. Im deathly afraid of it! I rather freeze than increase my chance of getting shocked hahahah and that apple and cloud you made are super duper cute! They look like what you'd see at those korean/jap cutesy places! and they would probably charge you 20$ a piece too!

Oh and in response to your comment: Oh Cinderellas Table!!! Ive made reservations for breakfast there! Im so excited! the first thing Im going to do is buy an autograph book so they can sign it for me...when I told my bf this he told me that the signatures were fake!!! omg...geez can't he just pretend and indulge me!? lol heehee the secret to long hair....is not to cut it, I know it sounds stupid but everytime I go to my hair dresser they manage to convince me to chop off a few inches because the hair is "dead" there etc. but I've stopped going for haircuts and now it's nice and long and I've managed to semi revive it lol!

Wow you've got tons of school work! I wish you the best of luck with it and for passing those interviews with flying colors!
