I found a Well.ca coupon (Spend $40 get $10 off) which I shared the other day on my twitter, and here is what I picked out! Well.ca is basically your online drugstore based in Guelph, ON and they offer FREE SHIPPING in Canada with no minimum purchase. I've wanted to order them for a while now, but nothing really interested me. For some products, their prices can a bit pricier since they are offering free shipping. They also carry specific items that you can't normally find in a Canadian drugstore - like organic products, natural products, Canadian-based products, Milani, Duo eyelash glue, etc. etc. Here is what I picked up and my quick thoughts on the products!
1. Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop and Coral Reef - I actually saw these in my local SDM the other day, but held back because it was $10+. Well.ca actually had them for $8.79. I probably could've just went with one of these, because they look very similar in colour on my lips since they are naturally pretty pigmented. They are a little sticky, but just the right amount of sticky for it to last long These will be perfect for Spring/Summer :)
2. Milani HD Advanced Concealer in Light ($10.99) - A clickity click concealer! I contemplated between this and L'oreal Touche Magique but Milani was only available in certain Sears. I never remember to go to Sears just to get this, so when I saw Well.ca had Milani brand products I had to try it! Initial thoughts - the texture is light and fluffy, great for the undereyes, covers redness pretty well, can be used to brighten areas. Would love to try the YSL one someday!
3. Revlon Illuminance Creme Eyeshadow Quad in Not Just Nudes ($9.25) - I was skeptical about getting this because years back I bought one of these creme eyeshadows and they were so chalky and dry. They have improved since then! These are super creamy and blends so easily. The colours are beautiful and perfect for everyday wear and it also includes a long mirror that spans across the palette!
4. Burt's Bees Baby Bee Nourishing Baby Oil ($9.97 for 115 mL) - I saw this on the site which I've never seen in store before. So I decided to google some reviews on it before I bought it. On Makeupalley.com it had a 4.3/5.0 from 184 reviews. If you've been to this site, you would know that kind of rating is rare!! People claimed that it was excellent for dry skin during winter and used it once they get out of the shower without towel drying. They also raved about smelling like yummy apricots for hours! My initial thoughts - I used it yesterday and felt weird about slathering oil all over my body, but it absorbed very quickly and it really really did smell GOOD. I love it! :) Wish I could use this everyday, but it's quite pricey for such a small bottle! :(
All in all, I loved everything I picked out from Well.ca and the shipping was super fast! Everything was intact (I was terrified that the baby oil would leak and spill everywhere) and it only took 3 days to arrive! I will definitely consider purchasing from them again. Hopefully they will carry even more brands, and have more appealing weekly sales.
Onto some Urban Decay NYC Palette swatches!
So I realized, you can't even buy this at Sephora anymore? Is that true? But I decided to share the swatches anyways because they are AMAZING. And in case they sell these individually or if they decide to include these colours again in present/future palettes.
I love the range of colours they offer. Personally, I'm really scared of colour, but this palette makes me want to step out of that bubble :)
Award to the most fun colour - Midnight Cowboy Rides Again - very shimmery light pink/taupe! Favourites from above picture - Smog, Maui Wowie, Haight.
(Sorry for the faded swatches at the end towards my hand!) Uzi is definitely lots of fun with the chunky glitters! My favourites from above picture - Bordello - lovely purple/pink shimmer, Snatch - peachy shimmer, and Snatch. Sorry for my horrible explanation of colours, but this definitely is a fun palette and I had a lot of fun swatching them on my arm and finding out how silky, pigmented and beautiful the colours were :)
Happy Friday and thanks for visiting! xoxo
