You may have seen this little guy around at Sephora, The Bay, and Shoppers Drug Mart. I was introduced to this while I was flipping through a magazine and was intrigued by a device that would get rid of acne with no irritation or dryness that usually comes with using acne fighting products. This is a device that uses:
1) Blue light for killing bacteria.
2) Sonic vibration - reduce swelling and inflammation.
3) Gentle warming - opens up your pores to allow the blue light to reach the bacteria.
The big seller for me was that it claims that it "Helps prevent future breakouts".

The packaging.

The device itself.
To use all you do is:
1) Press the orange on/off button.
2) Place over your blemish until vibration stops (2 minutes).
Use 2 to 3 times daily.
The top part.
Taken apart. Very simple design. It takes 3 AAA batteries to operate. I must say the batteries die very quickly for the device. Try using rechargeable batteries.
The one catch I didn't really like was that the device only delivers 1000 uses. After 1000 uses you will need to buy a new one. These go for about $49 in-stores. (Great item to buy for those SDM 20X points event!)
So does it work?!
I bought it for my stress pimples I get now and then on my chin thinking it would be a MIRACLE device. But I have to sadly say it's not a miracle device. I've had it for 3 months now. I can't really tell if it works, and when that happens it means it's not as effective as I thought it would be. I've seen reviews on it working very well for other people but as with all skincare methods it works different on everyone. I will still continue to use it as part of my skin clearing regimen but after the 1000 uses I will most likely not repurchase it again.
Bottom Line: Great concept, not a miracle device!
If you have any other questions about the device, let me know!
Until next time! xoxo

thanks for the review! It's unfortunate to hear that it doesn't work that well for you :(
thanks for the review! it's hard to find a device that can clear acne ='(
Gosh this looks hi-tech! Too bad it didn't work, it sure looks like it would!!
It feels like i haven't read your blog in ages?! Maybe i haven't been getting your updates on my dashboard... but i missed your blog!! xX
I've always been soo tempted to buy one of these from the drugstore.. a little pricy in my opinion! :(
It worked on ONE of my pimples quite well but not so much on the others. Then I found out I didn't have acne on the part of my face that I was HOPING it would work on, but dermatitis :( so that kind of explains why it didn't work! I feel like this device is great for people who get like ONE people a month and not for those of us (like me) that pretty much have a few pimples all the time.
