February Glossybox Canadian Edition!

I am all about trying these monthly beauty subscription boxes! Here are my two cents about the February Glossybox - also the first Glossybox to launch in Canada as well. It originated in the UK and I am super happy it is now available in Canada!

Great packaging - sturdy outer box, sturdy inner box.

Products wrapped beautifully and all cozy inside. It's even personalized with your very own name sticker - nice touch! Inside the envelope there are product details, pamphlets, and Glossybox stickers.

The Loot:

Ahava Mineral Body Cream
Elizabeth Grant Moisturizing Stick
Wella Brilliance Shampoo
Oscar de la Renta Live in Love
Prevage Day Anti-Aging Restorative Cream
Beauty So Clean Sanitizing Wipes and Mist

My Two Cents:

Although I am wildly impressed with the packaging and the size of the samples, there is nothing in this box that I am uber excited about. I was really excited about the Ahava Mineral Body Cream until I tried it and realized it was heavily perfumed - how can they claim its approved for sensitive skin when parfum (fragrance) is in the ingredient list?! I am mildly excited about the Beauty So Clean Mist; however, I believe rubbing alcohol is just as effective.

So would I continue with the subscription? I might continue with a few more subscriptions and see how it goes. I have a good feeling that there will be exciting samples included in this subscription box :) Glossybox also claims to include at least 5 samples in your box for $15 (shipping and taxes included), a bit more expensive but I think it's promising. Just to compare with the other popular Canadian beauty boxes, Luxe Box and Topbox are cheaper at about ~$11 including shipping and taxes. I have not tried out Topbox myself just because of the looong waiting list and my first Luxe Box didn't leave me with a good impression. Luxe Box and Topbox I think you have a strong competitor! And a side note - Julep Boxes are more nail products oriented and also $20 a pop; however, I would choose Julep Boxes over all three of these boxes just because you know what you're getting, you can decide if you like the products and if they are worth its value, and you can easily skip out on a month. I think these companies need to include this features as well!

Which beauty subscription box do you prefer?
